Santa Was Here

Christmas morning arrived and we were visited by the big man himself and his reindeer too! The boys were so surprised to see that Santa had left a note which included Rudolph's signature! They made out like little bandits, no surprise there. After all their loot had been spread out for proper examination Aidan turns to me and says, "Mom, there is no way you are Santa. You couldn't afford all this stuff!!!" Love!

I'm still trying to learn how to edit the boys and their reaction video, will post that once I have figured it out.

Christmas Eve BINGO and S'mores

We had a nice dinner on Christmas Eve here at home after a loooonngg day of last minute shopping. Luckily for me (and my guests), my mom did all the cooking, all I had to do was provide the house. Aidan and Tyler were bubbling with anticipation to open presents, and were relentless with their asking which turned to whining, which turned to pleading, which turned to begging. FINALLY, they were allowed to open 1 (okay 4!). One was a shared gift; a BINGO game! We all gathered around, collected our quarters (oh yeah, we play for money!) and sat down to some friendly gaming.

Aidan was really good at calling the numbers

So nice to see Steph all the way from NYC, and Trina home from EL LAY!

Tyler gave it a shot too, and kept confusing us with his transposition of numbers: B-41, oops, I mean B-14! haha :)

Then we made some fireplace s'mores, they were finger lickin' good!

get ready s'more, you're about to be eaten!

delish!

When I finally got Tyler to bed after much explaining about Santa not being able to deliver presents if he is awake, etc., etc., he declares, "I really liked this day, Mom." Well that's what it's all about now isn't it...

Aidan's (The Pro) Holiday Performance

Aidan performed his holiday program last week with the rest of the 2nd grade classes. He has no problem getting up and singing nowadays. He's a pro! He was sandwiched in between two chatty girls, one who was talking pretty much non-stop the entire time!

eagerly waiting for big brother to start!

Our Little Angel

Tyler performed in his first holiday program with his preschool! He was very "nerbus" and had a bad case of stage fright. He gave specific instructions not to look, watch, or smile at him. Basically, no eye contact whatsoever. The only way we were even able to go was to tell him that we were not going to watch him, but his friends instead. He was ok with that.

Bad case of the nerves has set in. He is having NO part of this!

What a difference 15 minutes makes, as he walks in he is all smiles

He's on the top row in the middle, next to the golden star

Way to go Ty-Ty, we are a proud mommy and daddy!

A Simple Saturday

We took a break from the crazy busy shopping crowds that were EVERYWHERE today and headed to the movies. "This Is It", the movie about the Michael Jackson concert was really good! It kept us entertained and inspired Tyler to try a little Thriller moves afterward. I wish I had caught it on film! Before the movie Alvin and the Chipmunks were there (well statues of them) and the boys thought they should strike a pose. Aidan lost his nerve once people started walking into the theater but his brother had no cares! After the movie we grabbed a quick bite at a cute little patisserie and then headed for home.

do you see someone peeking?

Dad's Little Helper

Our sink is leaking. Great.
Han is pretty handy and went to work on fixing it right away. Lucky for him, Ty-Ty is also pretty handy, or likes to get his hands into whatever is going on at least. He was "assisting" and doing a good job at it.

Flashlight? Check!
Screwdriver? Check!
Nuts, bolts, hoses, and lots of other things to hand over? Check!

All that's missing is his plumber's crack (Tyler's not Han's, thank you very much).

Lucky 7

We celebrated Aidan's 7th birthday with a small party here at home. He invited friends from school and they partied the afternoon away! The theme was GI Joe, and Sergeant Han was in full combat gear. We feel so blessed to have Aidan as our son. He is growing up to be a such a kind, caring, and intelligent young boy. Time flies too fast!

The End of Another Soccer Season

Aidan played another year of FC Fremont soccer. It was set up differently this year, they called it Academy instead of teams. Apparently this is the way the Europeans play. All in all, Aidan had fun. His coach was awesome and he made some new friends. At the closing ceremonies, the coaches presented their players with ribbons and high-fives.

Halloween Fun

We celebrated another Halloween with the Kwons, McDs and Stewarts. We enjoy meandering the quiet streets of San Ramon where the kids can run from house to house and we adults can mosey along behind them. Uncle Gene went all out and even decorated his house to look haunted, complete with scary noises, fog, and ugly monsters! It was spooky fun!

Halloween is over, can we say candy high?

Pumpkin Patch Fun

We took a field trip to Half Moon Bay today. We needed to get our pumpkins and decided to go to the best place on earth! Headed out bright and early and made our way to Lemo's and Pastorino's Farm. The Kwons met us up there and the kids were knee deep in "punkins", sweets, and tons of fun!

That's a pretty big punkin Ty!

According to Aidan that was DELICIOUS pumpkin pie!

Tyler's First Picture Day

Tyler is enjoying preschool very much despite the fact he doesn't want to take naps, I mean he naps everyday without fail, but he likes to protest it over and over. Today, was picture day, his first picture day. I asked what he'd like to wear, because he is VERY particular. He had decided many days prior that he would be wearing his blazer and a tie. He stuck to his original wardrobe decision... I love his eye for fashion!

I love this heart melting smile!
