Santa Was Here

Christmas morning arrived and we were visited by the big man himself and his reindeer too! The boys were so surprised to see that Santa had left a note which included Rudolph's signature! They made out like little bandits, no surprise there. After all their loot had been spread out for proper examination Aidan turns to me and says, "Mom, there is no way you are Santa. You couldn't afford all this stuff!!!" Love!

I'm still trying to learn how to edit the boys and their reaction video, will post that once I have figured it out.

Christmas Eve BINGO and S'mores

We had a nice dinner on Christmas Eve here at home after a loooonngg day of last minute shopping. Luckily for me (and my guests), my mom did all the cooking, all I had to do was provide the house. Aidan and Tyler were bubbling with anticipation to open presents, and were relentless with their asking which turned to whining, which turned to pleading, which turned to begging. FINALLY, they were allowed to open 1 (okay 4!). One was a shared gift; a BINGO game! We all gathered around, collected our quarters (oh yeah, we play for money!) and sat down to some friendly gaming.

Aidan was really good at calling the numbers

So nice to see Steph all the way from NYC, and Trina home from EL LAY!

Tyler gave it a shot too, and kept confusing us with his transposition of numbers: B-41, oops, I mean B-14! haha :)

Then we made some fireplace s'mores, they were finger lickin' good!

get ready s'more, you're about to be eaten!

delish!

When I finally got Tyler to bed after much explaining about Santa not being able to deliver presents if he is awake, etc., etc., he declares, "I really liked this day, Mom." Well that's what it's all about now isn't it...

Aidan's (The Pro) Holiday Performance

Aidan performed his holiday program last week with the rest of the 2nd grade classes. He has no problem getting up and singing nowadays. He's a pro! He was sandwiched in between two chatty girls, one who was talking pretty much non-stop the entire time!

eagerly waiting for big brother to start!

Our Little Angel

Tyler performed in his first holiday program with his preschool! He was very "nerbus" and had a bad case of stage fright. He gave specific instructions not to look, watch, or smile at him. Basically, no eye contact whatsoever. The only way we were even able to go was to tell him that we were not going to watch him, but his friends instead. He was ok with that.

Bad case of the nerves has set in. He is having NO part of this!

What a difference 15 minutes makes, as he walks in he is all smiles

He's on the top row in the middle, next to the golden star

Way to go Ty-Ty, we are a proud mommy and daddy!
