In our backyard we discovered 2 baby birds that had fallen out of their nest. Han, Aidan, and even Haley went out to investigate. Lucky for the birds, Haley was probably more afraid of them than them of her. They don't have their wing feathers in yet so they can't fly. Their mother corralled them to a bush for protection. We are keeping a watchful eye on them.

Aidan's First Day of Summer
We wanted to spend Aidan's first day of summer with him and him alone. As a way to celebrate his completion of 1st grade we decided to take a mommy/daddy/Aidan day. Don't worry Tyler was at Tia's house so he's happy too. Aidan has been wanting to rock climb ever since his first taste of it during Book Bucks Week. So, we headed over to City Beach. He was a little scared at first but he kept trying and trying. After a couple of attempts he finally made it to the top and rang the bell not once but twice! It was so cute to watch him concentrate, calf muscles bulging and full on sweat forming on his brow. This rock climbing is serious business you know!
