Happy New Year and some...

WOW! have i been slackin'?  it's not like we've been sitting around doing nothing - quite the opposite...i guess life just gets busy.  i want to do better with this blog, i will do better, i can do better.

we celebrated new years eve with friends, the kids had fun staying up til midnight, drinking faux champagne and ringing in the new year with noise makers and loud cracking thing a ma jigs.  happy 2012!

over our winter break we went to the oakland zoo to see the zoo lights.  it was fun to see the zoo at night and see the thousands of lights on display.  we took the train ride and even saw an emu within arms reach.  wintery fun!
