Last weekend I got to escape for a few days for a much needed girls BFF weekend getaway. We went to San Diego and had too much fun! Lots of shopping, drinking, and girl time. While I was away the boys had quality time with their daddy. Well, they spent one night with their Lola but then the rest was all guy, all the time! Han broke out the photo equipment and set up a make shift studio in our living room. The boys were his subjects after much bribing. They were good sports but Han told me later he had to take them to Wal Mart at 9pm to get their promised treats (ended up with yo-yos). Check out some of their shots!

Aidan's First Day of Summer
We wanted to spend Aidan's first day of summer with him and him alone. As a way to celebrate his completion of 1st grade we decided to take a mommy/daddy/Aidan day. Don't worry Tyler was at Tia's house so he's happy too. Aidan has been wanting to rock climb ever since his first taste of it during Book Bucks Week. So, we headed over to City Beach. He was a little scared at first but he kept trying and trying. After a couple of attempts he finally made it to the top and rang the bell not once but twice! It was so cute to watch him concentrate, calf muscles bulging and full on sweat forming on his brow. This rock climbing is serious business you know!

In our backyard we discovered 2 baby birds that had fallen out of their nest. Han, Aidan, and even Haley went out to investigate. Lucky for the birds, Haley was probably more afraid of them than them of her. They don't have their wing feathers in yet so they can't fly. Their mother corralled them to a bush for protection. We are keeping a watchful eye on them.

Last Day of School!
Aidan completed 1st grade today! His teacher was awesome, Aidan is already missing her, yeah he's sentimental like that. They performed a few plays today (Aidan was a bunny) and a fun dance to Kool and the Gang's "Celebration" that they choreographed all on their own for the parents - so cool! First thing on the list of Aidan's Summer to do's? Nintendo DS! Ugh, that thing will be the death of me... but he is so good about not playing it during the week that I thought it a nice treat for his first official summer time activity!

Graduation - Finally
I celebrated my graduation this weekend, yippee. It was a great day! Han made sure that the party would be one to remember, he did not let me down! The backyard was magical with the lights and lanterns twinkling. The food was delicious thanks to mommy, Cat, and of course the Hubs. The guests were heaven sent and I am truly the luckiest girl around! A question I heard lots that night? "What will you do now with your newly acquired degree?" My response, "I am now a highly qualified 3rd grade teacher!" :o)

Until Next Year...
The T-Ball season came to a close yesterday, June 6th. I must say I am sad to see it go. We played our last game against the Thunder and our boys played great! After the game we had our end of the season party filled with pizza, cake, endless amounts of quarters for the video games and vending machines and, oh yeah... trophies! And to think we almost didn't sign Aidan up to play... can't wait for next season!

Aren't these bobble head trophies the cutest? Even Han got one for being the "ENFORCER"!

Holy Hydrangeas
I just love, love, love when my hydrangeas come into bloom. Over the past week, I've watched the little blossoms grow into these beauties. I plan on cutting them and putting them into a cute vase for all of us to enjoy!

Look how many more are still going to bloom! I can't wait!
My Professional Dog Walker
Last night we took Haley for a walk around the neighborhood. Tyler has been declared our own professional dog walker. He knows how to hold the leash and can often be heard saying "heel!" and "good girl!" He's very proud of his new title - simply adorable!
