Happy Birthday Lola!

So, almost a month ago my mommy celebrated her 60th birthday! Crazy, I know! Because she doesn't look a day over 40...I'm hoping I got those genes! We celebrated with dinner at Maggiano's, Santana Row. The boys were being a little pill-like (seems to be a recurring theme at dinners out) so I don't feel like it was the best birthday possible. BUT, we did eat some yummy food, and were able to spend some time together. I LOVE YOU MOM!

Lola and her "little pills", too bad these cause headaches instead of cure them! LOL ;)

In case you're wondering what that fabulous necklace is that I'm wearing...it's Stella & Dot! I LOVE it! and you can have one too or hold a trunk show to get it for free!! shameless I know... www.stelladot.com/johanna

A Day In the Park

You ever have one of those days when you have no pressing plans, and feel like it would do everyone some good to just get out of the house? I know, I know, they're few and far between...but there was one such day just like this a few weekends ago.

So, we headed to Central Park and let the boys GO! They monkey barred, and swung, and chased, and climbed, and were just plain boys! It was so nice to sit and watch them play. I/we need more days like this.

there's that million dollar smile :)

silly boy, mama is not a jungle gym!

Lake Tahoe 2010

In January, we took off for a long weekend to snowy Lake Tahoe.
Tons of snow - check.
Cool cabin - check.
Loads of fun - double check!

We stayed at an awesome cabin (many thanks to Rob for finding it) directly across from Heavenly, we would watch the skiers and riders come down the face of the mountain all day! We were that close!

One day we just took the kids to the backyard and played in the many feet of snow. We threw snowballs, made snow angels and took the sled down some home made snow ramps. It was lots of chilly fun!

Justin and Aidan 'fitted and ready to hit the slopes? err, make that backyard bunny hills!

look what we found in the tree!

Our last full day there, the snow was coming down pretty hard. We took the Gondola up to the top of the mountain and had a fun time tubing, despite the fact it felt like we were sticking our head out of the window of a speeding car in a hail storm!

the view from the first point of the gondola trip

Tyler was such a sport, just chillin' while we all went tubing.

handsome gondola riders

these boys know how to enjoy the hot tub

All in all, we had so much fun and of course didn't want to leave. The Chos need to win the lotto or something because we are all excellent vacation takers!

I took my mom and auntie to Wicked for Christmas, so that meant Dad was on duty! The boys crashed their Komo's house for a while and then came home to play. Han loves any opportunity to have the boys pose for pictures. He asked them (OK, MADE them) put on a "nice" shirt. Before they put on the ones seen here, Tyler pulled out his preschool field trip t-shirt and demanded that it was a nice shirt! Finally, they agreed on these cute plaid button downs and flashed their handsome smiles, all to make Daddy happy. What sports!

The Newest Snowboarder!

Aidan absolutely loved snowboarding! So much so, that he spent the entire day doing just that! After he would come down the hill he would yell to me, "I get to do it again!" He's eager to get back on the slopes, but next time wants to get on the lifts! You go boy!

I love his smile at the end

SNOW DAY!!!!

We took off to Dodge Ridge with the Woos bright and early, well dark and early as the sun had not yet risen on Saturday! We made great time and arrived right as DR opened. We enrolled Aidan in an all day snow boarding lesson. What about Tyler you ask? Ummm, he informed me that he didn't need to take any lessons because he already knows how to do it! He was happy making snowballs and mini snowmen. I'm hoping to get him on a board in a few weeks when we go to Tahoe, because I know he'll pick it up quickly.

This devious smile courtesy of a big snowball in his Nuna's back!

can you tell Tyler is getting tired of being at the snow?

taking a breather

Tyler was content playing his DSi while we watched his brother carve up the bunny slope

best cousins ever!

what a day, let's go home!

Happy Birthday Han Cho!

We celebrated Han's birthday (yep, he's a New Years Baby) by visiting our local donut shop for a quick breakfast bite. We then headed to the Japanese Gardens in Hayward for a little stroll. It was quiet and serene until we arrived...Tyler and Aidan began climbing, yelling, rolling around on their Heelys until they finally started complaining about being STARVED! Lucky for us, they did allow a few snaps of our time in this beautiful little space.

love Aidan's face...

deep. thoughts.

We finished our adventure with a yummy lunch at Sushi Monster in Belmont. Hope you had a wonderful birthday Mr. Cho!
