Easter Fun

We celebrated a quiet Easter here at home with Lola. V brought some of the cutest girls we know over to celebrate with us too. Makena and the boys had fun coloring their eggs, eating yummy brunch fare, and hunting for Easter treats. Even little Kylee got in on the action - running all around the backyard, basket in hand. It was certainly a blustery day though and the threat of rain loomed all morning long. Luckily the Easter Bunny was able to spread Easter Cheer in the backyard before the buckets of rain began to pour.

The cutest egg colorers I know - stacks of eggs and dyes at the ready

Makena is taking this very seriously

Nice shade of green

On your mark, get set, go!

Kylee knew just what to do!

Egg Hunt Shenanigans

We attended the annual Egg Hunt at the park down the street. Tyler was too "nerbous" to participate but Aidan and Justin had no problem whatsoever!

See the two basket head boys?!? aka: Justin and Aidan - Silly!

After the candy was collected (small, but better than nothing) the boys had fun chasing each other, making silly faces, and being boys! It was a great start to our Spring Break.

Tyler's First Field Trip

Tyler experienced his first field trip to the San Francisco Aquarium a few weeks ago. Dad chaperoned and he had his best friend Noah in his group, double cool! The highlight of the trip weren't the amazing sea creatures, though those were great, it was the bus ride! Tyler LOVES riding on public transportation...bus, BART, planes, trains, etc!

He and Noah had fun exploring the Pier 39, the aquarium, and posing for snaps along the way. It was a great first field trip!

Oh what fun!

GREEN PEE!!!

Happy St. Patrick's Day! This morning the boys woke to find that someone had been in their house last night! A little someone, a tricky someone...yep! A leprechaun! This trickster sure made a mess of things, like tipping over chairs, stools on top of the furniture, sweaters thrown on top of doors, and even left his green pee in the toilet! EWWW!!! This leprechaun must have been in a big hurry though, because the boys found tons of gold coins all over the place! So, they weren't that upset that they had a little extra cleaning to do, the golden coins made it all worth while!

He did leave them another little memento! After they followed the path of gold coins strewn about they found a toadstool filled with candy! Talk about LUCKY!

Happy Birthday Lola!

So, almost a month ago my mommy celebrated her 60th birthday! Crazy, I know! Because she doesn't look a day over 40...I'm hoping I got those genes! We celebrated with dinner at Maggiano's, Santana Row. The boys were being a little pill-like (seems to be a recurring theme at dinners out) so I don't feel like it was the best birthday possible. BUT, we did eat some yummy food, and were able to spend some time together. I LOVE YOU MOM!

Lola and her "little pills", too bad these cause headaches instead of cure them! LOL ;)

In case you're wondering what that fabulous necklace is that I'm wearing...it's Stella & Dot! I LOVE it! and you can have one too or hold a trunk show to get it for free!! shameless I know... www.stelladot.com/johanna

A Day In the Park

You ever have one of those days when you have no pressing plans, and feel like it would do everyone some good to just get out of the house? I know, I know, they're few and far between...but there was one such day just like this a few weekends ago.

So, we headed to Central Park and let the boys GO! They monkey barred, and swung, and chased, and climbed, and were just plain boys! It was so nice to sit and watch them play. I/we need more days like this.

there's that million dollar smile :)

silly boy, mama is not a jungle gym!

the loves of my life

We found some familiar faces!

Lake Tahoe 2010

In January, we took off for a long weekend to snowy Lake Tahoe.
Tons of snow - check.
Cool cabin - check.
Loads of fun - double check!

We stayed at an awesome cabin (many thanks to Rob for finding it) directly across from Heavenly, we would watch the skiers and riders come down the face of the mountain all day! We were that close!

One day we just took the kids to the backyard and played in the many feet of snow. We threw snowballs, made snow angels and took the sled down some home made snow ramps. It was lots of chilly fun!

Justin and Aidan 'fitted and ready to hit the slopes? err, make that backyard bunny hills!

look what we found in the tree!

Our last full day there, the snow was coming down pretty hard. We took the Gondola up to the top of the mountain and had a fun time tubing, despite the fact it felt like we were sticking our head out of the window of a speeding car in a hail storm!

the view from the first point of the gondola trip

Tyler was such a sport, just chillin' while we all went tubing.

handsome gondola riders

these boys know how to enjoy the hot tub

All in all, we had so much fun and of course didn't want to leave. The Chos need to win the lotto or something because we are all excellent vacation takers!
