hats for grades

report cards came home last week.  i love that at this age, report cards are a happy occasion!  who knows how long it will last?  i really don't place too much emphasis on the grades themselves.  a little growth and good behavior are really all i'm looking for.  well, when the boys brought home their report cards, i was really pleased.  both doing very well, both trying hard each day, and both enjoying school - that's what i'm talkin' about! 

so of course, i wanted to reward them for a job well done.  their requests?  fitted A's hats complete with their names embroidered on the back.  let me tell you, we spent almost an hour looking for just the right color and size - i guess i know what shopping for shoes with me is like...nevertheless, they found what they wanted and they look pretty cool too!

my boy is playing baseball again! yay! i love watching aidan play and the fact that he really loves playing is an added bonus, cause he wasn't so sure before the season started...  we got a bit camera happy on picture day last week, but this is my all time favorite picture ever, (ok for now at least).  best friends til the end.

today is a good day! i'm off work today, well i worked at aidan's school, chaperoning his field trip but now the day is mine! yippee! and it's embrace the camera thursday which i really enjoy but don't do consistently enough!

friends, how many of us have them? i do!

i know we all have *ish that we go through, and now is my time i suppose.  but going through things with friends like these in my life makes things seem so much more bearable.  i thank you my friends for being there for the boys and i, we love you all so very much.
